Need math help?

i am not trying to cheat i am just asking for the equation and how u get it from this story problem. the story problem is:

You want to buy a bouquet of yellow flowers roses and baby's breath for $16. The baby's breath costs $3.50 per bunch, and the roses cost $2.50 each. You want one bunch of baby's breath and some roses for your bouquet. How many roses can u buy.

best awnser will be decided on the first peron who can list the equation and how to get first and i also can understand it.

Need math help?
y (price)+ b(price) = $16

bPrice = $3.50

yprice = $2.50 each

y(2.50) + (1)($3.50) = $16

y = (16 - 3.50)/2.50

y = 5 roses
Reply:$3.50+$2.50r=$16

$2.50r=$16-$3.50

$2.50r=$12.50

r=$12.50/$2.50

r=5
Reply:x=baby breath

y=roses

x=3.50

y=2.50

16=x+2.50y

16=3.50+2.50y

16-3.50=2.50y

12.50=2.50y

12.50/2.50=y

5=y

u can buy 5 roses
Reply:3.50+2.50=6.00 ( 1 rose, and 1 baby) so 16.00-6.00=10.00 so you have 10.00 left for roses, so you can divide 2.50 into 10, and you get 4 so you can have 5 roses, and 1 baby breath.
Reply:Equation:

3.5x + 2.5y = 16 (where x: baby breath and y: roses)

since u just want 1 bunch of baby's breath therefore:

3.5(1) + 2.5y = 16

2.5y = 12.5

y = 5

hence you can buy 5 roses
Reply:r = 5 roses
Reply:+ b = $16

r+ b = $3.50

r = $2.50 each

2.50y + $3.50 = $16

r = (16 - 3.50)/2.50

r = 5 roses

good luck!
Reply:$16-$3.50=$2.50X

Take 16-3.50, then divide it by 2.50. You can buy 5 roses.
