I need to know why these flowers have the name they have.?

I mean like why they were given that name. They are:


Bleeding Heart


Baby's Breath


Firecracker Flower


Devil's Paintbrush


Dogtooth Violet


Jack-in-the-Pulpit


Lady's Slipper


and Skunk Cabbage.





That's all, but this is due tomarrow for school so...hope someone answers tonight!

I need to know why these flowers have the name they have.?
A Bleeding Heart is heart-shaped, but has a little bit extra at the point, so it looks like something has run out of it; like it's bleeding.





Dog's Tooth Violet has petals the same shape as fangs.





Lady's Slipper forms a bowl shape, and is very delicate, almost as if it is a slipper for a lady.





Skunk Cabbage has a very unpleasant smell.





Don't know the others at all.
