Why does my 1 year old baby`s breath smells bad?is this normal?

i think it is normal. my mother used to let us teeth on a warm wet wash cloth as small children during bath time and i think this cleaned out our mouths. after he eats try to get him to drink a little water to wash away the food this is staying in there and causing the small. if it is still very foul ask his doc, they've heard it all before

It could be a throat or mouth infection however I would say teeth is a cause of bad breath but a visit to your doc should clarify if there is a problem or not.
Reply:Maybe your baby has TMAU (Trimethylaminuria). This is a disease that causes bad breath and body odor. If your child's bad breath persists, I would think about getting him/her tested for TMAU.

Check the link below for more information on this disorder.
Reply:Sometimes this can be a sign of an infection. If it smells horrible, to the point where it unbearable to smell ... I would take him/her to the doctor just to make sure they don't have an infection. Baby's can often times get an infection in their mouth called Thrush, which is treatable by an antibiotic. I would also check into getting some teeth and gum cleaner. Gerber makes some there is tasty for the kids, and it helps their teeth and gums stay clean :)
