What's the deal with baby's breath?

Like why is it so special and stuff?

What's the deal with baby's breath?
It's a nice pretty white filler that can go with any color of flower and fill out the arrangement.

By the way, guess where it gets its name? Stinks to high heaven when grown in your garden.
Reply:I don't know that it's so special. It's just something florists have been using a long time, especially with roses.
Reply:Bad breath can be a sign of infection.
Reply:Because it's filler, which means that it fluffs up a floral arrangement and makes it look full without resorting to using a blajillion expensive roses.

Other than that, dunno. I do like the white stuff that creeps along the ground (baby's tears? Something about a baby) but I don't much like baby's breath as a plant.

And I could do without it as filler.
